History

In 1965, having spotted the need for gardening professionals and amateurs to have access to quality substrate and topsoil, Oleguer Burés Fàbregas founded Burés in Barcelona.

As of December 2010 our company has been incorporated in the business group BIOT , and is now directed by Oleguer Burés Pastor.

The BIOT group compriser different companies from the gardening, landscaping, environmental and energy sectors: Burés Professional S.A., as the parent company and the result of the merging of Prodeasa and Industrias Químicas Sicosa; the garden centre Centre Verd S.A.; Edafo Gestió Mediambiental S.A.; Plantia Garden S.L. and Abotrans S.A.

BIOT is a consolidated group of companies with a clear focus on product and customer service quality, which is also seen as a benchmark in sectors related to gardening and the environment.

We have been dedicating resources and efforts to the everyday running of our business for 45 years, in order to be able to show our customers the optimism and enthusiasm which help us to move towards a new style of gardening more appropriate to the environment in which we live.
